Mining Emergency Response Competition 2023

MERC is a not-for-profit event that provides world class emergency rescue training and skill building opportunities for volunteer mines rescue teams. 2022 will mark the 12th year since the first MERC was hosted and will be held in the spectacular city of Perth, Australia. The metropolitan location provides Perth based industry representatives, FIFO workers, mining families and the local community to view firsthand, the skills of the mining emergency response teams who help to ensure safe workplaces and communities in the event of emergency.

The MERC will attract over 15 emergency response teams, 150 industry volunteers and over 4000 members of the public to attend.

There will be a number of opportunities for organisations, teams and volunteers to be associated with the competition giving you the chance to raise your profile further within the emergency services sector.
