The WA Women’s Hall of Fame was first established in 2011 in recognition of the Centenary of International Women’s Day held annually on 8th March. One hundred women were inducted at the centenary, across a range of sectors and celebrating a diverse set of achievements. It’s purpose is to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Western Australian women past, present and future.

To date, 247 inspiring Western Australian women from all regions in this State, and from diverse educational, organisational, and cultural backgrounds who have left their mark in our communities have been inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame. Their achievements have encompassed through business, growing industries, leading movements, mentoring, building communities, fund-raising, working in science and research, the arts, child-care, volunteering, and providing positive role-models and encouragement to the young women of our future have been recognised.

The Dementia Symposium 2023

The 2023 Alzheimer’s WA Dementia Symposium — is a one-day event that will challenge and enrich people working in the health care industry with practical skills to easily implement and reinvigorate their own practice.

As the healthcare industry undergoes a much-needed shakeup following the findings of the Royal Commission and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are proud to present a series of prominent speakers who are rethinking the dementia care space and demanding action on concerns like human rights, wellbeing and improved workforce capabilities.

Our dynamic range of speakers Alzheimer’s WA advocates (who are living with or supporting someone living with dementia), and a range of professionals — all focused on shaping and building the future of dementia.

The INCITE Awards is WA’s longest running Tech Awards Program (since 1991) and the premier event in ICT for our State. The program showcase’s and supports ICT innovators in WA through an Awards system that places their technology innovation on the national and global stage.

Walk to Remember

Walk to Remember 2022 is Alzheimer’s WA’s signature fundraising event and is held annually. The WTR event incorporates a range of distances - 1km, 3km, and 5km - in order to encourage individuals of all ages and capabilities to participate. Their aim is to raise awareness for fellow Western Australians wo are living with dementia.

The walk will be followed by entertainment, food, beverages. and fun for the whole family.
